Make a DIY Industrial Style Scaffold Shoe Bench
This stylish, shoe rack / bench is probably the most practical piece of space saving furniture you could ever make. And it is very easy to make. It utilises dead space under the seating area for shoe storage by having a robust cable basket tray mounted on the base. Fix casters to the feet for an even more flexible solution.

Using a claw hammer and screwdriver or blunt chisel, carefully remove band ends
Use two boards for width then cut them to length, not forgetting cross bearers
Whether used or new boards, sand and treat/paint to get desired finish
Re-position previously removed band ends and nails or buy new if you prefer
Screw short cross bearers to underside of long scaffold boards
Loosely assemble base to get position of leg clamps, then mark and screws in place
Put together tubes and clamps to create base - not forgetting cable tray clamps
