Make a DIY Industrial Style Scaffold Clothes Rack
An easy to make, industrial style, scaffold clothing and shoe rack. This popular loft style, heavy duty clothes rail is a simple and robust solution for storing and displaying clothes and shoes in the home, shop or at a trade show/ exhibition. Lockable casters on the base make it mobile, and you can also build it shorter to hang kids clothes.

Build your own industrial style clothes rail from scaffold poles and boards

Using a claw hammer and screwdriver or blunt chisel, carefully remove band ends
Use two boards for width then cut them to length, not forgetting cross bearers
Whether used or new boards, sand and treat/paint to get desired finish
Re-position previously removed band ends and nails or buy new if you prefer
Screw short cross bearers to underside of long scaffold boards
Attach caster wheels to the underside of the scaffold base
Lock casters wheels then turn base over right side up
